I'm a Brazilian (🇧🇷) digital product designer who's called Toronto (🇨🇦) home since 2018.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working at diverse companies across various industries. These include roles at Philips in Healthcare, Oi in Telecom, Globo in News, Mobile and Video On Demand, and Xello in Education. Most recently, in Hiring Success at SmartRecruiters, as the Senior Design Manager in the Platform group, leading an amazing crew of product designers spread across teams working on APIs, dev experience, analytics, search, admin, and the design system.
At my core, I am a high-performance problem solver, attentive to details, and strongly focused on teamwork. I've collected a wide range of skills along the way, including user experience, information architecture, system thinking, visual design, user interface, UX research, and proficiency in design processes and agile methodologies.
After switching a few times between IC and management roles, I realized that my true purpose extends beyond design practice, and since 2021, I've embraced the management track, where I can apply my experience to create a significant impact on businesses, bringing the user-centric approach to strategy.
I consider my management style the "coach", focusing on supporting people's growth, leading by example, and strategizing effectively. This approach allows me to guide my teams towards enhanced productivity and the delivery of top-notch quality.
In this journey, I've been developing a new set of skills such organizational architecture, people development, the intersection of design and business, decision-making, and visionary thinking. I'm excited about the road ahead, where I can continue making a positive impact with each step.
Even as I lead, the designer in me thrives on keeping my hands dirty. I keep the craft spark alive by engaging in small projects, collaborating closely with my team, and enriching our Design System. This balance keeps my skills fresh and my passion for design vibrant.
